Does the image translator return text or a translated image?
ImageL10n translates text from your image and places editable translated words back on the canvas. Review the wording, size and position, then download a PNG or JPG at the original dimensions. It is designed for preparing localized images, not just extracting text with OCR.
What is image localization?
Image localization adapts the text inside an image for readers in another language. ImageL10n translates visible words in screenshots, PNGs and JPGs, lets you review the translation and layout, and exports the localized image.
How do I translate text in an image?
Upload a PNG or JPG, sign in, choose a target language and select Translate image. Review the translated text, adjust its size or position, and export the image. Each image translated into one language uses one credit; new accounts start with 3 free AI credits.
Which languages can I translate my image into?
The editor currently offers Spanish, German and Japanese as target languages. Choose a language before translating and review the result, especially names, numbers and product terminology.
What happens to the original background?
ImageL10n replaces source text regions with a solid background color and overlays editable translated text. Simple, flat backgrounds work best. Photos and textured backgrounds may need additional editing; seamless background repair is not available.
Can I use my StructOCR account?
Yes. Sign in with your existing StructOCR email/password or Google account. ImageL10n credits and purchases are separate from StructOCR OCR and Tools balances.
Are my images uploaded?
Opening an image locally does not upload it. Choosing Translate image uploads the image to private storage and sends it to Gemini for recognition and translation. Cloud results can be reopened from your account; use Save edits to persist later changes. Export local-only work before closing.
